Our University is fortunate in having numerous buildings, specialized libraries, reading rooms.

Teaching and research activities are carried out in lecture halls, classrooms and specialized laboratories endowed with facilities according to the domains of the faculties:

  • many computer networks connected at Internet (providing free access of e-mail, file transfer, World-Wide Web via RoEduNet) [picture],

  • anatomy and morphology of plants, taxonomy and phytocenology, plant physiology, phytopathology and agriculture, invertebrate zoology, vertebrate zoology, animal morphology, ecology, animal physiology, hydrobiology, cell biology and biophysics, genetic biochemistry and microbiology,

  • mineralogy, petrography, spectrography, Roentgen rays, differential thermic analysis, geochemistry, ore and silicone analysis, micropaleontology and palinolcogy, technical geology and geobotanics, computerized reworking of geological data, hydrocarbonate ore engineering, pedology, aerophotointerpretation in geography, meteorology climatology, quaternary paleogeography, topography etc. [picture]

  • plasma physics, solid state physics, and the physics of microwaves, optics and spectroscopy,

  • language laboratories [picture],

  • laboratories equipped with projection systems, video-players etc. [picture]

The "Al.I.Cuza" University also has conference halls and projection facilities, faculty workshops, sports halls and grounds, a printing press, copying facilities and a publishing house. There are also botanical gardens, museums with special collections of animals, plants, stones and minerals, to which students have access for their study.
