The University is governed by the University Senate, made up of the Rector (as President), the Vice-Rectors, the Secretary of Academic Affairs to the Senate and elected representative members of the faculties, as well as elected representatives of the undergraduates.

In the intervals between Senate meetings, the University government is carried out by the Senate Executive Body, which includes the Rector, the Vice-Rectors, the Deans, the Secretary of Academic Affairs to the Senate and undergraduate representatives.
