Studies Structure

 

Graduate Courses

BSc Diploma

  1. Computer Science Studies, long duration (4 years); is purpose is to train specialists with high qualification in computer science (analysts, programmers, software/Web engineers and architects, teachers, researchers etc.);

  2. Computer Science Studies (Information Technology), short duration (3 years); it aims to train specialists in current software products (analysts/programmer assistants).

Academic Calendar

The Academic Year starts on October. The University runs on a system of two semesters.

The first semester starts on October and is made up of 14 study weeks, followed by two weeks of winter holiday (Christmas break), then by an examination period of 3 weeks and another one-week holiday.

The second semester starts in mid-February or March and is made up of 14 study weeks, followed by an examination period of 3 weeks and then by 2-3 weeks of student practice.

Post-graduate Courses

 

MSc Diploma

The MSc programmes are split into two research directions:

  • Distributed Computing (2 semesters);

  • Computational Linguistics (4 semesters).

 

The applicants may have Romanian or other citizenship. For details about the admissions, please see Admissions page..

Specialization

  • Specialization studies (4 semesters)

    • teacher of computer science

    • specialist in computer science

PhD Diploma

The Ph.D. programmes now in progress in our faculty are oriented toward the general domain of Computer Science (Distributed Systems, Coding Theory and Cryptography, Automata and Formal Languages, Discrete Mathematics, Graphs and Combinatorics, Object-Oriented Programming, Methods of Adaptive Programming, Natural Language Processing).
